In an effort to offer those who are not chosen for the WeirdWins contest, I decided to launch my own customized version of the ParaNorman Foamposite One. This custom will use the House of Hoops Black / Neo Lime for a base and will feature a “zombie mist” graphic closely resembling the design from the original Nike limited release. The soles of this custom will glow, similar to my other custom foamposites with glow in the dark soles. Unlike the Nike release version, the “zombie mist” print on my customized pair will glow in the dark, similar to how the uppers of my “Luminous Galaxy” foamposites glow in the dark. This ParaNormalike custom package will include a custom box, custom insoles, custom hang tags, and other details. Book your order after the jump or check out more kicks from my ParaNormania series.
What you see above is the latest launch of a custom LeBron 9 Foamposites wrapped in my “VT-like” method with camouflage canvas. The soles are dyed and on some versions the entire hyperfuse upper is painted. Both traditional BDU Camo and modern Digital Camo are offered to appeal to both the old and new school camo aficionados. The electric green accents are a nice accent to the tonal green color story on the shoe. Black balances the design and keep them militant. These shoe go great with camo shorts or any khaki cargo shorts you might have in rotation. The custom shoe will take 5 to 8 weeks to arrive as the base shoe is ordered from NikeID as clients pre-pay for their pair. A custom box option might appear soon in the product listing, and surely a matching t-shirt is on the horizon. Stay tuned and purchase your pair now for shipment in time for the end of Spring. See larger pictures after the jump and purchase your pair as well. Continue reading
What you see above is a mock-up of a custom Nike Foamposite. Chef has been customizing foamposites for some time now and immediately implemented his “fabric wrapping” technique to apply new patterns and textures to the foamposite. It should be no surprise then that he has used his method of fabric printing to create his own version of the Galaxy Foamposite One NRG. Chef has used a hi-resolution image of the Orion Nebula taken from the Hubble telescope. The image is printed on high quality cloth and sealed with wax, this process is known as wax-cloth or oilcloth, a high end luxury treatment. Random stars on the print will also glow! Continue reading
Chef of GourmetKickz is at it again with his color-matching mastery. In this instance Chef has chosen the “cough drop” Foamposite One to create the above pictured “Gucci” Foams. The shoe color was derived from other Gucci inspired Nike releases and uses the same exact green present on these limited editions. Chef has produced a small run of these custom foams and is currently selling them for $400. The customs kicks also include hand painted pull tags to mimic the Gucci stripes. There is also talk of a limited box and snap-back package to be released.
This new venture into different canvases has proven fruitful for “Chef” as orders are already pouring in for the above pictured Custom South Beach Foamposite. Chef only requires that you send him a pair of either the Slime Greens or Pearls to get the job started. At a fee of $200, you get back an expertly designed pair of exact color-matched foams. You can contract the job here and view more pics.
