As if awoken by the smell of raw meat, Chef has taken to the kitchen to cook up some beef for some newbies across the pond. The Firebomb AF1 is a great name! But, a great custom sneaker is more than just a name. Chef did not approve of how a patch was simply slapped on an AF1 so he took to the kitchen and cooked up pure fire. Employing a theme that is cheeky answer back at the patch-happy brits, Chef referenced one of their very own by utilizing Banksy’s “Flower Bomber” on the heel of his custom Air Force Ones. The bomber appears to hurl his bouquet toward the front of the sneaker, where the bouquet detonates and spreads flowery delight across the remainder of the shoe.
No word on how many pair Chef will release, but seeing as how the Kitchen has been freshly renovated, we can expect generous numbers at a modest price to ensure the GourmetKickz brand’s tasty goodness can feed enough hungry sneaker heads. Each pair will come with a custom insole, hang tag, and custom sneaker box!

Chef spent a few days cooking up some dope shirts for the highly anticipated Jordan 11 Space Jam 2016 “Monstar Mash” release. The designs range from the classic “My PreXIous” classic graphic tee so several new designs featuring Bugs Bunny and many versions of the signature GourmetKickz “Now Serving” logo.
As to the color, this year’s Space Jam 11 uses “concord” instead of “varsity royal” as seen on the 2009 version. This is KEY because many shirt designers have not adjusted their color palette to accommodate for this change. As shown in this comparison picture, the 2016 Space Jam uses more of a purple hue: black/concord-white is the actual colorway listed on the box and as you can see concord is much different from the varsity royal color.
Check out the array of offerings below or head on over to the Space Jam 11 Apparel Page.
Chef has been cookin! The above image only represents a fraction of the shirts he designed to match the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in grey and solar red (appears orange on computer screens). Did you manage to score a pair? If so you NEED to grab one of these amazing shirts.

After creating several Native-American styled and Moccasin customs lately Chef has become obsessed with feathers. He has taken to the all white Air Force 1 High to continue his exploration into moccasin-inspired works with a greater emphasis on feathers. The result is the Icarus-like custom you see here. He calls this piece the “Air Force 1 Fly High” and has been naming the project his “Floccasin” line (flying moccasin) of which he has several versions. Most moccasins will only have a few feathers, just as accent pieces. Chef of GourmetKickz wanted to see what would happen if he did the opposite, placing all the emphasis on feathers. Each feather is hand cut from luxury leathers; hair on cow hide, embossed ostrich, stingray, baby alligator, crocodile, and rattlesnake. The feathers are attached via a clever strap sheath that is both removable and customizable. The wearer can reduce the number of feathers or add even more to just one side. Ivory suede lacing adds some great detail to the custom and adds drama to the already over the top flying kicks. Chef alerts us that this mainly white colorway is the first of many more to come. Future versions from his “Floccasins” line will include other sneaker silhouettes, more luxury materials, and plenty of colorways and color options. While this type of flashy custom is not for everyone it certainly is artistic!
Chef is revisiting his ties to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal nation with a limited launch of Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau Patina Remix w/ a Moccasin twist. This custom Jordan is similar to the pair GourmetKickz launched this past spring with some subtle changes to the color blocking and one major addition, the Moccasin rear fringe. Chef compliments the patina toebox and eyestay with a patina heel sheath featuring suede fringe and patina hand cut feather wrapped in copper wire. The result is a well balanced beautiful piece of wearable art.
Chef notes that these will be available in a limited run on his website AF1King.com starting today. Also available with the kicks is a matching custom Patina sleeve denim trucker jacket.
Kintsugi also known as kintsukuroi is the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver. The beauty of the art is in understanding that the repaired piece is more beautiful for having been broken and repaired.
Chef uses the art of Kintsugi in his latest Custom Nike Foamposite One. faux fragments of broken china have been reassembled onto the upper of a Knicks Foamposite One. Faux melted gold paint was used for the seaming and gold leafing adorns the eyestay, lacetips, heel, and carbon fiber panels. This piece is a wonderful bridge between fine art and wearable art.
You may purchase your own pair below. Please be forewarned, wait times for this custom are steep.

If you have been paying attention to the @gourmetkickz Instagram account then you will know that last week GourmetKickz teamed up with group-buy website Massdrop.com to launch a series of custom Nike Roshe Runs. This is the first time GourmetKickz has worked on a Roshe, making this series even more special. The “drop” gave participants the choice of 8 different styles, each which had 2 options; a basic and a “kicked up” version. Nearly 40 pair sold in just about a week. If you missed the drop you can still go to Massdrop.com and request them to offer this series again. Chef is always in the Kitchen and since he now has a relationship with Massdrop, he is willing to get the kitchen rockin’ at their request. The more votes to bring the GourmetKickz Roshe series back, the more likely they will place another bulk order with the Kitchen.
